This vintage belt buckle is done in classic Zuni inlay style. Turquoise, jet, and orange spiny oyster shell are used to create the image of the thunderbird, a mythological creature representing strength and power. The image is so popular in the Pueblo their high school football team is known as the Zuni Thunderbirds.
