Santo Domingo Jewelry
The very traditional village of Santo Domingo Pueblo is located on the Rio Grande, near Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The jewelers of the community are world-renown for their sliced, handmade, flat, circular beads known as heishi. While traditionally made of shell, they can be made from any material, but especially of high-quality turquoise. For decades, Twin Rocks Trading Post has worked with master bead maker, Ray Lovato, to present some of the finest necklaces and chokers available anywhere.
