Micarta is a high-pressure laminated material made from layers of fabric (like linen, canvas, or burlap), impregnated with a resin, and then cured under heat and pressure. This process transforms the layers into a dense, strong, and durable material that is stable and resistant to moisture and scratches. 15n20 is a high nickel alloy that is commonly used to forge Damascus steel. It makes a great knife steel on it's own and is also used in saw blades. Master craftsman Kay Harris marries these two materials to make one great knife. Kay is known around the Southwest for this finely crafted flutes and hand-made knives, and also for his work with young people.

Kay Harris - Flute Carver: is a bit of sage, sand, river, wind and rock, worn and weathered by thirty years of navigating rivers, hiking canyons, and climbing sandstone cliffs in Southern Utah. His flutes are an expression of his love for the Earth.
